Overview: The primary goal of this role is to provide comprehensive business, financial, administrative, and support services to ensure the smooth operation of business activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality shared services in finance, technology, and administrative support, actively engaging with business units to address their needs and fulfill departmental requirements, thus ensuring efficient business operations.
- Assist in performing core financial functions such as financial management, accounting, and procurement to meet both internal and external reporting and compliance standards. This includes processing data accurately and promptly, managing purchase orders and invoices, preparing journals, and facilitating executive decision-making.
- Provide financial advice, data, and reports to inform statutory and operational decisions, including budgeting, financial analysis, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Offer various administrative support services, including drafting correspondence, documenting meeting minutes, and maintaining files, to facilitate effective service delivery.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of office systems and procedures, ensuring alignment with agency standards and adapting processes as necessary to enhance team/unit efficiency.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely provision of office facilities, IT equipment, and other resources required for business operations.
- Manage records and databases in compliance with administrative systems and policies to ensure accuracy, proper storage, and accessibility of information.
Key Challenges:
- Balancing competing demands and priorities to deliver quality services within negotiated timeframes, while addressing unforeseen issues and managing a high workload independently.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to solve problems and implement solutions that meet the business support needs effectively.
- Prioritising and coordinating workflows in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving agendas while maintaining service standards.
Location and Contract Term:
- Sydney Based (No Remote Workers)
- 3-month initial contract with Likely extension.
- Hybrid working model.
