Salary - $54 per hour + Super
AO5 Project Officer – Rural Extension Officer Responsibilities:
Highly desirable qualifications for this role include:
Possession of a current 'C' class driver's license.
Location of the role: Brisbane CBD or Berrinba, with flexible work-from-home arrangements possible.
Salary - $62 Per Hour + Super
Security Requirements: Full working rights & the ability to obtain an Australian police check.

Skills and Experience:
AO4 Project Officer Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will undertake the following duties:
- Perform various tasks to support taskforce.
- Handle administrative responsibilities, including managing stakeholder meetings and maintaining records.
- Provide logistical support for external entities involved, including inventory management.
- Assist with data entry and basic analysis to support operational activities, utilizing GIS mapping and data management systems.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries through internal systems and the designated inbox.
- Assist with community engagement efforts, such as moderating social media, attending public events, and aiding in large-scale mailout campaigns.
- Offer technical support for the operational execution and its role in assisting the eradication efforts of the Program.
Possession of a current 'C' class driver's license.
Location of the role: Berrinba, Queensland.
Salary - $54 per hour + Super
AO5 Project Officer – Rural Extension Officer Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute plans for engaging and extending communication with primary producers and large landholders in Southeast Queensland.
- Offer technical guidance to primary producers on implementing management practices, encompassing risk reduction, surveillance, treatment, and reporting.
- Organise and promote workshops, meetings, and engagements with primary producers to advocate for fire ant management activities and options.
- Participate in workshops with key stakeholders, fostering communication and relationships while providing expert advice on management activities aligned with biosecurity legislation.
- Coordinate and monitor project activities, managing project deliverables and risks within the framework of smaller, interconnected projects under a larger project or strategy.
- Prepare documentation and support the procurement and distribution of treatment products and equipment. This includes inventory management, procurement document development, evaluation, and contract management.
- Provide technical assistance to the operational execution of the Program, supporting its role in eradication efforts.
- Collaborate with a diverse team, spanning various functions.
Highly desirable qualifications for this role include:
- A qualification or relevant experience in agriculture, natural resource management, stakeholder engagement, and communication, particularly with primary producer or rural audiences.
Possession of a current 'C' class driver's license.
