Our federal government client is seeking a talented and driven Senior Systems Analyst. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The analyst will have a solid background in developing, implementing and operating IT systems. The role serves as a critical link in the product development lifecycle, helping the Agency optimise its systems, streamline processes, and achieve its business objectives.

This role is being offered to those in ACT, NSW, QLD. Initial contract for 12 months and high chance to be extended.
Security Requirements
Our government client requires that applicants must be Australian citizens. We will not consider candidates holding permanent residency or work visas for this role.
Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment screening checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.

About the role:
- Provide expertise and technical knowledge in specialist area across a range of programs or activities for the agency.
- Provide accurate and specialised advice including anticipating problems and contributing to issues management.
- Ensure knowledge of and compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes and agency guidelines and regulations.
- Set priorities for the work area, maintain team cohesion, and ensure quality of outputs for the work area.
- Contribute to the development of team objectives for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.
About you:
- Knowledge and experience of applications development methodologies and the software, development lifecycle.
- Providing expertise and technical knowledge in specialist area across a range of programs or activities for the agency.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, analysing, isolating and interpreting business needs (often conflicting) and generating user stories and requirements.
- Experience working with information technologies and systems analysis
- Demonstrated experience in producing artefacts best suited for the products and projects
