Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Software Asset Manager to join their team in Canberra. The Software Asset Manager will facilitate the procurement of software and manage the contractual obligations in relation to software. They will actively manage the delivery of Software Products, Licensing, Support and Maintenance for products.

- Reading and interpreting EULA’s (with guidance from the Software Maintenance Officer)
- Some CMDB and/or Software Discovery Tool configuration (with guidance from the Software Maintenance Officer)
- Providing guidance to the wider project on governance, internal processes & software licensing
- Communicating effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
Essential:
- Certified SAFe® Practitioner
- Diploma of Information Technology Asset Management or equivalent.
- Qualifications in Project Management.
- Qualification in Systems Engineering.
Essential:
- Software Licensing/Asset management.
- Employment of enterprise licensing agreements.
- Experience with asset management tools.
- Management of assets (EOL, support and maintenance).
- Experience using CMDBs to manage software.
- Software vendor management and negotiation.
Desirable:
- Australian Government and / or Defence experience.
- Demonstrated ability in managing projects, risks and issues, budgets and schedules.
