Our Story

Established in Canberra in 2005, Whizdom is a specialist recruitment firm providing contractors to government and private clients. We like to think we are a little different than our competitors, really caring about our contractors and clients and trying our best to make sure everybody is happy with the whole process and the outcome every time.
• We have various search methods to seek the best candidates, advertising on major job boards, accessing our database and referrals, promotion on social media and specialist recruitment methods and campaigns.
• We not only recruit for current roles, but concentrate on building groups of passive candidates who may not be immediately ready for a new role but early engagement will make sure we have access to this candidate at a later date.
• We work hard to seek new opportunities and panel arrangements. This expands our network and assists candidates in accessing roles they may not have had access to before.
• We value the relationship with our clients and work to build valuable partnerships. We provide a specialist account manager to handle the end to end recruitment process for each client.
• Whizdom is 100% Australian owned and operates wholly within Australia under Australian law. All data is stored within Australia, the majority in Canberra and Sydney, and is governed by Australian law. We are also fully licensed as an ACT Recruitment company.
• Through referrals, past contracts and over 9 years’ experience in the Canberra market, we have access to many cleared resources and understand the challenges with placing these candidates.
• We reward our contractors with great rates, fast payments and a personalized, friendly service. As we are a SME our contractors know all our staff and we hold many networking events where we all have a chance to connect in a casual setting.
