API Tech Lead

About the role:
The Tech Lead will be responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of the program, attending requirement discussions with business stakeholders to finalize the Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and Interface documents. This role involves translating graphic visual and interactive designs into the presentation layer for highly interactive web and mobile applications using responsive design and development techniques. The Tech Lead will develop prototypes and perform hands-on coding to develop and integrate the application user interface, leveraging technologies such as CSS3, HTML5, PHP, JavaScript and associated frameworks, AJAX, JSON, jQuery, Dojo, and various APIs.

Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Business teams to determine functional requirements for the new services.
- Collaborate with Tech Lead/Business stakeholders for reviews and sign-offs.
- Document and communicate new changes within a team-based AGILE structure.
- Document API requirements, design, and functional specifications.
- Design and create robust interfaces to integrate a variety of systems and technologies to solve business problems and create scalable solutions.
- Meet with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
- Support and collaborate with other internal/external consultants in consulting, workshops, and delivery engagements.
To ensure success in the role, you will possess the following skills:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java8 or above, Springframework5x, Springboot2x, Junit5, Mockito, Logging framework (Java based), Postman, and good use of any IDE.
- Experience in Infra/DevOps Design.
- Knowledge of Maven, Git, Splunk, Bamboo, Swagger, Design patterns, and Standards is advantageous.
- Previous experience in delivering API framework.
- Must have banking project experience.
- Good debugging skills, clean and efficient coding skills with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Proactively engage in the remediation of software issues related to code quality, security, and/or pattern/frameworks.
- Mentor junior consultants in the practice and delivery engagements.
