About the Role Our client, focused on Australia's National Security, is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to contribute to the design, provide assessment and assurance, and manage the accreditation of specialist on-premises and off-premises cloud platform-based solutions. The contract will be based in Canberra and is for 12 months with 2 x 12 month extensions. This role is crucial for realising the organisations benefits from strategic technology investments.
The Successful Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience in identifying and applying security controls to large-scale, complex capabilities, and developing ICT Security analytics. They should also have experience in architecting security solutions for complex systems and provisioning security controls to cloud computing systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaise with multiple project and capability stakeholders to assist in the design and documentation of Cloud system security controls.
- Engage with Enterprise/Solution Architects and Cloud Engineers at all levels to ensure designs align with security accreditation standards to achieve ITSEC security accreditation.
- Ensure Cloud Systems achieve and maintain ITSEC Security Accreditation throughout the capabilities lifecycle.
- Create and maintain Cloud Security documentation and configuration, including the use of vulnerability assessment tools.
- Support the Cloud support and development team by providing IT security education and outreach, professional leadership on IT security-related matters, continuous improvement processes, stakeholder engagement on security-related matters, and operational IT security including device inspections and monitoring service desk queues.
- Experience identifying and applying security controls to large-scale, complex capabilities and/or developing ICT Security analytics.
- Experience architecting security solutions for complex systems.
- Experience in the provisioning of security controls to cloud computing systems.
