About the role:
The Mainframe Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining mainframe applications using programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, and JCL. This role involves working with database management systems, understanding mainframe security principles, and handling batch processing and job scheduling. The developer will also be expected to have strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

This contract is available for an initial 6 months with multiple extensions. Total contract length is 2-3 years.
Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement. 2 Days a week in office.

- Utilize knowledge of CICS.
- Understand and implement mainframe security principles and protocols.
- Handle batch processing and job scheduling.
- Solve problems and debug issues effectively.
To ensure success in the role, you will possess the following skills:
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages like COBOL, PL/I, and JCL.
- Familiarity with database management systems (IMS/DB2).
- Knowledge of CICS.
- Understanding of mainframe security principles and protocols.
- Ability to work with batch processing and job scheduling.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with zOS connect/API.
- Highly proficient in IMS DL/I programming.
- Financial/Banking experience.
