About the Role
Job Title: Technical Specialist

As a Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of complex network and security systems. Reporting to the Manager of Network and Security Operations, this role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Juniper SRX and Checkpoint firewalls.
- Oversee and manage Netskope SASE, Proofpoint Email Gateway, and Citrix NetScaler systems.
- Implement and enforce security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Design and manage Virtual Private Network (VPN) architectures to support secure remote access.
- Resolve complex networking issues, including those related to Aruba and Cisco wireless systems.
- Monitor network performance, ensuring availability and reliability.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address and remediate security concerns.
- Work on critical infrastructure for a high-impact organization.
- Gain exposure to advanced security tools and protocols.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals across various agencies.
Qualifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Experience with Netskope SASE and Proofpoint Email Gateway.
- Knowledge of Juniper SRX, Checkpoint firewalls, and Citrix NetScaler.
- Expertise in network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and IPsec.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools like SolarWinds and Splunk.
- Strong understanding of security policies, intrusion prevention, and system architecture.
- Large enterprise experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
- Resilience and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
- Daily Rate: $880 - $920 p/Day Inclusive Super
- Location: Based in Parramatta, NSW, with access to transport and amenities.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
