About the Role
We are seeking a candidate with intermediate to advanced Kubernetes skills, available five days a week. The role requires practical experience in delivering, sustaining, and deploying Kubernetes as a service, with demonstrated experience in Platform Engineering. While the Kubernetes variant used is SUSE RKE2, candidates with current experience in any Kubernetes variant will be considered. The work involves sustaining and continuously improving a Kubernetes Platform as a Service offering, with potential for future delivery work under continuous improvement. This includes a mix of technical, problem-solving, and documentation tasks.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
• Intermediate to advanced Kubernetes skills
• Practical experience in delivering, sustaining, and deploying Kubernetes as a service
• Demonstrated experience in Platform Engineering
• Availability to work five days a week
• Strong technical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT or Bendigo, VIC.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4-5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. A DISA (Defence Intelligence Security Assessment) will be required for this position.
