Our private client has a requirement for a Project Scheduler to join an ongoing project delivering operational capabilities to our clients.
The successful Project Scheduler will work with the Project Managers to ensure that all projects are scheduled and resourced. They also provide technical coaching and mentoring to project teams less familiar with creating plans to deliver complex projects and programs.
Applicants must have the ability to operate as part of a tight-knit, multi-disciplinary team working closely with the client on a rewarding project.
This role will work closely with the project team whilst also working independently on the development and delivery of the solution.
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Demonstrated minimum 3 years’ experience providing ICT Project Management, Release Management or Scheduling in an ITIL operational or engineering environment.
2. Experience in running a team with regular cadence (e.g. sprints/retro's, planning) and keeping them on track.
3. Familiar with different project methodologies, Agile, Scaled Agile, Lean.
4. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
5. Provide a high level of quality/accuracy.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of project schedules
2. Work collaboratively with Program Managers and Project Managers to ensure that related strategies and methods are integrated within the project schedules
3. Perform project schedule analysis activities
4. Provide support to Project Managers with the day to day management of their respective schedules
Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months + potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Candidates must hold an active NV2 Security Clearance
