The role of the Security Architect is to support the design and maintenance of the application security for S/4HANA Human Capital Management (Payroll) solution, including IAS/IPS Access Control.
Key responsibilities:
- Designing ICT solution architectures that meet whole-of-government and agency-specific business needs across various technology domains. Ensure these solutions are designed to support operational efficiency in managing service availability, reliability, and performance.
- Developing technology architectures and innovative ICT solutions and services that align with the QGEA and support the Queensland Government’s service delivery objectives.
- Providing technical advice and consultancy services to key Queensland Government stakeholders, particularly in S/4HANA security design and support.
- Consulting with stakeholders on current and future security models for the S/4HANA solution, including but not limited to: iWFM, FIORI, GRC Access Control, IAS, and IPS.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including business analysis, development, infrastructure, network, and corporate quality teams to deliver a security model that supports the S/4HANA solution, including but not limited to SAP ECC 6.0, S/4HANA, iWFM, Workbrain, IAS, IPS, GRC, and other third-party products.
- Ensuring that all necessary documentation is developed for stakeholders and approved according to the governance model.
Key Skills:
- End-to-end security design of ICT systems (including data, application, database, desktop, network, server, and storage infrastructure)
- SAP RISE security models

- Gap analysis of IT infrastructure and information security practices
- Security aspects of business and service continuity, backup, and recovery
- Security management, including security risk management, alignment, and reporting
- Security classification, compliance, and assurance
- Information security architectures
- Governance, Risk, and Compliance
- Identity and Access Management
- Working closely with project functional streams to identify and design appropriate security solutions, ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks
- Engaging with internal stakeholders to ensure that whole-of-government, and industry-related policies, standards, and constraints are fully implemented within the security solution
- Managing operational work using project management methodologies to prioritise, organise, and implement resource and work schedules
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies and procedures as needed, in collaboration with business managers to create and refine security roles
- Creating comprehensive technical documents, responses, briefs, submissions, presentations, and reports to guide the development and implementation of the security solution architecture
- Contributing to the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation planning of complex IM/ICT security-related changes, including evaluating risks to infrastructure integrity inherent in proposed implementations
- Queensland Based (No Remote Workers)
- 6-month initial contract with Likely extension.
