About the Role
We are seeking a Virtualisation Engineer to join our team in Canberra, ACT. The successful candidate will implement, manage, and retire infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking, and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services. This role involves working on a major ICT capability development project aimed at integrating multiple dependent projects within the national security framework.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment. Key duties and responsibilities include:
• Designing and implementing VMware NSX solutions.
• Optimizing and managing VMware environments.
• Troubleshooting and resolving virtualization and network issues.
• Collaborating with Network and Security teams to enhance network security.
• Developing and maintaining documentation related to virtualization architecture.
• Implementing and maintaining disaster recovery solutions.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in VMware technologies for potential opportunities within a complex ICT environment.
Essential qualifications include a minimum of 3 years of experience working with VMware solutions and proven experience with VMware NSX. While VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification and relevant industry experience are desirable, they are not essential.
What is on Offer
• Duration: 12 months with 2x 12-month extensions.
• Location: Canberra, ACT.
• Working Arrangements: 5 days a week, up to 40 hours per week with potential for flexible working arrangements.
• Security Clearance: Active minimum NV1 security clearance required, with willingness to undergo further security assessments.
• Other Requirements: Willingness to undergo additional suitability assessments.
