Whizdom are currently assisting one of our clients find TSPV cleared Application Testers in either Canberra or Melbourne.
Major Responsibilities
Highly Desirable Skills and Experience
Location: This role is a Canberra, ACT or Melbourne, VIC
Contract terms: 12 month contract. 2x 12 month extensions.
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes at a SFIA Level of Responsibility 4 or 5 in Testing/ Software Testing (TEST)
Security Requirements: Candidates must be an Australian Citizens with a TSPV or Negative Vetting 2 clearance. ASD will not sponsor candidates to upgrade their clearance. Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client requested checks.

Major Responsibilities
- Integration testing between different environments
- Contribute to documenting the acceptance criteria in user stories
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with ICT and business stakeholders at various levels.
- An ability to create, understand and perform test activities such as test plan creation, test data creation and organising the creation of testing environments.
- An understanding across all software test levels (unit, system, integration and user acceptance).
- An ability to manage individually allocated work packages and to balance competing priorities.
- Knowledge of test methodologies and the fundamental testing process across both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
- Be able to identify and record discrepancies between actual and expected testing results.
- Provide recommendations based on outcomes on testing if it is fit for release into a production environment.
Highly Desirable Skills and Experience
- IT-related degree (e.g. Bachelor of Computer Science of Bachelor of IT)
- ISTQB Foundation testing qualification.
- Competency with Jira
