About the role: The Digital Services Division is seeking to fill a Commercial Manager role to undertake a thorough analysis of the commercial portfolio with an aim to drive better processes, procedures, and behaviours both within the team and the organization. In addition, the candidate will work alongside Commercial Management Services to ensure that commercial outcomes are delivered in a consistent manner.
Responsibilities: The specified personnel shall work within the Commercial Management Services team to lead Contract and Vendor Management outcomes for one or more major ICT Services contracts across the Department’s Multi-vendor environment.

Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated experience managing large, outsourced ICT contracts in a multi-vendor environment.
2. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and external suppliers.
3. Strong negotiation skills with proven experience resolving complex commercial disputes. 4. Proven expertise and/or experience in identifying and reducing procurement risks, probity, evaluation, and contract management are required.
Desirable criteria:
What’s on Offer: 12-month contract based in Canberra. Possible 12-month extension. Hybrid arrangement available.
Hourly Rate: EL1 $110 - $145 including super

Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated experience managing large, outsourced ICT contracts in a multi-vendor environment.
2. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and external suppliers.
3. Strong negotiation skills with proven experience resolving complex commercial disputes. 4. Proven expertise and/or experience in identifying and reducing procurement risks, probity, evaluation, and contract management are required.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience in procurement/contract management, procedures, and processes in government.
- Baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain.
