Seeking a Cyber Security Architect with experience using Sentinel or a similar SIEM solution

Job details
Security Architects design, review, test and assure the technical environment, solution designs and solution implementations in accordance with current and emerging security best practice. They contribute to the technical architecture and security policies and practices.The successful applicant for this role will be responsible for the maintenance of cyber security monitoring and analysis toolsets, and will take a lead role in the build of the cyber security architecture through consultation with internal ICT teams to secure this architecture.

Contract: Contract to 31 December 2025 with up to 24 Months extension options
Security Required: Must have a NV1 security clearance
Location - Canberra Based

Technical skills
Mandatory:
- Experience using Sentinel or similar SIEM solution
- In-depth familiarity with the Australian Government ISM
- Experience with security technologies such as endpoint protection, firewalls and IDS/IPS
- Extensive experience in Windows, Linux, networking and system administration
- Experience with security services in the cloud (Azure or AWS)
- Experience in cyber security monitoring and incident response within, or for, other Federal government agencies
- Experience using Sentinel or a similar SIEM solution is essential - 25%
- In-depth familiarity with the Australian Government Information Security Manual - 20%
- Experience with security technologies such as endpoint protection, firewalls and IDS/IPS - 20%
- Extensive experience in Windows, Linux, networking and system administration - 25%
- Experience with security services in the cloud (Azure or AWS) - 10%
