The Role:
Data Architects design, create, deploy and manage the way data will be structured, stored, used, integrated and managed in IT systems.
Key duties and responsibilities
Essential Criteria:
1. • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area and/or extensive experience in a similar role.
2. Detailed understanding and strong experience in developing, implementing and maintaining information management and architecture frameworks, policy, procedures.
3. Strong experience in information architecture governance across IT project lifecycles.
4. Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and lead information management and architecture process adoption and change management activities including the coordination of training and knowledge management.
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC or WA. 3 month contract with 3 x 3-month contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens. A baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain is required.

- Create sitemaps and hierarchies: Structure information into a hierarchy that's easy to navigate
- Conduct user research: Gather data about users' needs, preferences, and behaviors
- Prototype designs: Create interactive models to test and refine designs
- Validate designs: Get feedback from users and stakeholders to make adjustments before final implementation
- Builds the information architecture for the COP31 SharePoint.
- Leads focus groups and user experience interviews.
- Makes improvements based on user data and team feedback.
- Creates user flows, wireframes, site maps, mockups, and storyboards.
- Provides support throughout the design, coding, and deployment process
- Presents proposals, final designs, and results to executives.
