About the role:
As a mobile developer, your expertise will set the benchmark of quality coding, engineering leadership and mobile solution outcomes. Whether the work is for clients, your development expertise will directly contribute to some of the world’s leading enterprise applications and systems, enabling critical processes, intelligent operations and innovative services to serve end users & stakeholders to the highest standards. Key responsibilities will include:
· Australian Citizenship: Must have Australian citizenship.
· Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in a lead mobile application development role, focusing on MAUI and Xamarin (Xamarin.Forms and Xamarin.Native).
· Technical Skills:
Desired Attributes and Skills
· Technical Leadership: Oversee system design, development, and implementation; provide technical advice and mentoring to enhance team capabilities.
· Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to establish technical standards, support continuous improvement, and implement user-friendly UI/UX designs.
· Mobile Development: Build high-quality iOS and Android applications using Xamarin/MAUI, with experience in JavaScript and Flutter as a plus. Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
· Integration & Testing: Integrate applications with back-end services (RESTful APIs), and ensure quality through testing, debugging, and updates.
· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on mobile development trends and contribute to improving software delivery processes.
· On-Site Work: Be available to work on-site up to three days per week.

This contract is available for an initial 6 month term with an extension of 2 x 6 months.
Located in Brisbane, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.

· Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of C# and the MAUI/.NET framework.
- Ideally, 5 years of experience with JavaScript for web and mobile applications and associated mobile frameworks.
- Familiarity with Swift and Kotlin, at least to the extent of packaging applications.
- Proficiency in building cross-platform applications for iOS and Android.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in competency-based, friendly conversations with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ideally, a demonstrated ability to coach team members, providing technical direction and guidance to improve the technical capabilities of the team. This includes mentoring on troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Experience with the SDLC for MAUI/Xamarin, including the full mobile application lifecycle (concept, design, testing, release, and support).
Desired Attributes and Skills
- Government Experience: Prior experience working with government agencies is a plus.
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience with cloud messaging APIs and implementing push notifications.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices for mobile applications.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments.
- UI/UX Design Sensibility: An understanding of fundamental principles of user interface and user experience design.
