Seeking Senior Project officers to undertake work that is complex in nature and work under limited direction.

Senior Project Support officer will be required to undertake work that is complex in nature, work under limited direction with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability. Employees at this level exercise both initiative and judgment in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. APS 6 employees provide detailed technical, professional, and/or policy advice in relation to complex problems and may assist in strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. Employees may have a considerable level of public contact in relation to difficult or sensitive issues and may liaise with a range of stakeholders in a representational role. Work may involve management responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and managing workflows
Key duties and responsibilities
Security Required: Must have a Baseline security clearance
Location -ACT, NSW, QLD, and Hybrid Based - Flexible work arrangements are available in line with the Agency flexible work policy and agreed with the successful candidate

Key duties and responsibilities
- Support Senior Project Managers with project management activities e.g. across end to end delivery to monitor, track and report the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project artefacts.
- Support the preparation of Project status reports, and ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Liaise with the Program Director, Program Manager and Senior Project Managers to ensure program and project outcomes delivery is on track.
- Manage and monitor the project risks, actions, issues, dependencies and decisions (RAIDD) register in partnership with the Program Director, Program Manager, Senior Project Managers and working group members.
- Raise risks and issues as required.
- Develop, monitor and update project schedules in partnership with the Senior Project Managers, Program Manager and Program Director.
- Escalate any deviations to the Senior Project Managers, Program Manager and/or Program Director as per the tolerance thresholds.
- Manage project change processes in partnership with the Project Managers, Program Manager and/or Program Director.
- Support project team to develop and maintain comprehensive briefing papers for relevant governance committees and advisory groups.
- Maintain effective working relationships and promote Agency values to achieve delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrated experience commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.
