The Department
This Federal Goverment Department, based in Canberra coordinates across government with a whole-of-nation approach, working closely with communities, stakeholders, and various government areas to deliver effective policies and programs. The department leads the Australian Public Service in rigorous policy development, implementation, and program delivery.
The Role:
The Department is seeking the services of a talented, self-motivated Senior Full Stack Angular/.Net/Sqlserver Developer for a prominent and influential application.
The team supports and maintains a critical whole of government web-based system that manages the collaboration and distribution of information across the federal government. The system is highly visible with a significant stakeholder community.
The contractor will be working in a high calibre, friendly and supportive team maintaining and enhancing an existing code base and providing time critical production support. The team promote a climate of continuous improvement and actively include this within their day to day work.
This opportunity would suit a self-starter with excellent communication skills who wants to work within a small dynamic team.
Essential Criteria:
1. Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a Senior .Net Developer on an enterprise environment, including experience with Entity Framework and/or Entity Framework Core.
2. Experience in developing and styling modern single page web applications using Angular, Typescript and CSS (experience in another SPA framework may be considered).
3. Strong Sql Server skills.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience in utilising, managing and enhancing a CI/CD pipeline consisting of Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy.
2. Outstanding work ethic, self-starting with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in ACT. Contract till 30 June 2025 with extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens. A NV1 security clearance or the ability to obtain is required.
