Our client is responsible for national security and military operations and plays a crucial role in safeguarding the country's interests. The department also manages strategic policy, intelligence, and international relations, working closely with allies to maintain regional stability. This departments mission is to advise on its digital network integration efforts to maximise interoperability across Land, Joint and Coalition interface boundaries and to meet critical information exchange requirements. The intent is to ensure that investments are integrated to maximise the operational functions of individual projects.

Contract terms: April 2025 – 30 June 2026 + 1x12 month extension available.
Security Requirements: Candidates require Australian citizenship along with an active NV1 security clearance. Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client requested checks.

About the role/ Experience required:
- Demonstrated experience and / or relevant tertiary qualifications Eg: Science, Engineering or IT qualifications.
- Demonstrated qualifications or specialist experience with one or more of the following skillsets:
- Networking – Design, Implementation, and assessment of networked systems within either tactical or enterprise environments.
- C4 Software – Experience with implementation, configuration, assessment, and extensions of military C4 system and software.
- Tactical Data Links – Detailed knowledge and implementation details of TADL formats and protocols and ability to analyse and assess vendor implementations of these formats.
- Enterprise Architecture – Design, implementation, and assessment of CIOG accredited systems.
- Distributed Systems – Experience with distributed system design, implementation, and assessment.
- Tactical Networking Bearers and Waveforms – Experience with the design, implementation, and analysis of tactical networking bearers, radio RF design, waveform design, and integration.
- Strategic Networking Bearers and Waveforms – Experience with the design, implementation, and analysis of strategic networking bearers (SATCOM, MUOS, etc), associated modems and equipment, waveform design, and integration.
- Software Design and Management – Detailed experience with the design, programming knowledge, analysis, and assessment of large software systems.
- Autonomous Systems – Detailed experience with the design, implementation, and assessment of autonomous military platforms and the software/hardware required for integration into a military force.
- AS GxA Experience – Detailed knowledge and experience with the AS GxA standards: AS Generic Vehicle Architecture (GVA), AS Land Data Model (LDM), and Vehicle Standard Operating Environment (VSOE).
- Fires Systems – Detailed knowledge, experience, and implementation detail of AS Fires based systems and software and their networking integration into the larger Land Combat System (LCS).
- Will develop a deep and fundamental understanding of the land combat system and its design considerations;
- Develop a detailed understanding of the integration of sub-components into capabilities;
- Lead development of the LCS Design within their technical specialisation;
- Record and share information regarding engagements to enable a collaborative approach across SMEs and the integration/technical SME staff to achieve digital integration requirements;
- Develop an understanding of concepts or a design within the LCS and provide detailed advice on the integration requirements from a digital integration perspective (as opposed to physical integration);
- Long term engagement
- Domestic travel
- Uplift to NV2 security clearance
- Remote working opportunities (must be on site min 3 days per month)
