The Role:
The Service Delivery Architect is accountable under broad direction to provide quality advice and leadership on the development and management of a range of IT services throughout their lifecycle. They will be responsible for translating platform capabilities and business requirements from different stakeholders into well-articulated service offerings.
The Service Delivery Architect will work in conjunction with other specialist resources and subject matter experts, support the development of project deliverables, program, and Agency objectives.
1. Extensive experience in operationalising IT services and their ability to design, implement, and manage a Service Delivery framework effectively.
2. Capability to align technical efforts with strategic objectives, ensuring long-term sustainability and contribution to organisational goals. Assess their potential for leadership in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders, while also effectively engaging stakeholders at different levels. Evaluate their communication skills in managing expectations and building strong relationships
4. Qualifications, technical expertise, and experience in areas such as ITIL methodologies, cloud and hybrid systems, risk management, project management, and contribution to IT strategy objectives and business transformation activities.
Location and Contract Term: This role can be Canberra, Sydney or Brisbane based. 12 month contract with 1 x 12 month contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens. A NV1 security clearance or the ability to obtain along with a Police Check is required.

The Service Delivery Architect will work in conjunction with other specialist resources and subject matter experts, support the development of project deliverables, program, and Agency objectives.
- Provide expertise across a broad range of activities potentially relating to the work of different program areas.
- Provide expert advice on policy, complex problem solving and issues management for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure in-depth knowledge of and compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes and agency guidelines and regulations.
- Take responsibility for the achievements of own and team outcomes, monitor progress and follow through to deliver quality outcomes.
- Recommend strategic directions for area of responsibility and consider wider agency implications when making decisions.
- Consider and effectively manage competing priorities and strategic directions when achieving team planning and project outcomes in line with agency goals and objectives.
- Implement change and manage ambiguity in the workplace.
- Provide a significant contribution to innovation and business improvement strategies.
- Engage with risk, including the conduct of risk assessment and risk management activities for area of responsibility.
