Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Advisor to join their team. This role involves providing ICT security advice and assistance, including policy creation, project support, and research. The position is based in Canberra, with a hybrid working arrangement that includes on-site work and occasional remote work.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Advisor to join their team. This role involves providing ICT security advice and assistance, including policy creation, project support, and research. Key Responsibilities Include
- Developing ICT security risk assessments to shape security policies and requirements.
- Consulting and recommending risk mitigations and performance improvements.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to analyse and identify ICT risks, recommending mitigations, and reviewing their performance.
- Identifying and applying the latest policy requirements, standards, and architecture to support ICT risk management.
- Communicating complex problems to various stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Translating high-level business requirements and industry best practices into effective risk mitigation solutions.
- Contributing to team development and promoting desired ICT security outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualifications and experience in Risk Management principles and guidelines.
- Experience in developing ICT security Risk Assessment Plans and managing ICT risks.
- Strong experience working with stakeholders to identify business ICT risks and mitigations.
- Familiarity with ICT Security Principles Framework, Information Security Manual (ISM), Essential 8, and ICT access management.
- Proven ability to document ICT Risk Management and develop appropriate artefacts.
- Contract until 30 June 2025, with an option for a 12-month extension.
