Seeking a Business Analyst to work closely with policy and operational subject matter experts in Biosecurity and Biosecurity Digital Reform Division.
The Business Analyst will work closely with consultation with technical areas in other departments. Key activities include but are not limited to:
Location of work & working arrangements -ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC -The role can be performed remotely, and in-office arrangement will be dependent on location. Some interstate travel will be required.

The Business Analyst will work closely with consultation with technical areas in other departments. Key activities include but are not limited to:
- Developing detailed business requirements and solution design for the Department for internal and external integration with other departmental systems.
- Developing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for implementation of the department's traveller system.
- Investigating and advising on data integration and technical alignment with internal systems and externally with the Departments systems (hardware and software).
- Documenting requirements for expanding technological solutions, including benefits and close consultation with technical areas. This will include investigation for expanding solutions across other activities including aircraft reporting, mail and seaports to maximise cost benefits.
- In-depth investigation and requirements gathering and analysis of technical and non-technical information
- Review business processes and support process improvement, assurance and change management
activities - Solution design and documentation
- Data analysis and modelling
- Stakeholder management, including developing and maintaining relationships with project team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Project management support
