Overview
Our large Government client is seeking experienced DevSecOps Engineers / Specialists (in either Adelaide or Melbourne) to engage multiple full-time computational support personnel with specialist skills and experience in a wide range of computational research domains. These resources will supplement, enhance and mature delivery of Research ICT platform and standard services offered to researcher communities.
Specific requirements are for resources with deep knowledge and understanding of full DevSecOps system stacks within virtualised or containerised platform environments, encompassing automated tooling and enabling functional components.
Specialists will be responsible for undertaking and contributing to project work, while also administering research environments. CI/CD and CATO business processes include a strong focus on cyber security and span both the Private and Public Cloud domains.

Location and Contract Term
The role is based in Edinburgh (SA) or Fisherman’s Bend (VIC), with a contract term of 10 months from 1 September 2024 to 30 June 2025 with 2x12 month extension options, expiring 30 June 2027.
Security Requirements
To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen and hold NV2 security clearance (possibly open to NV1, but will require uplift to NV2).

- Be proficient in troubleshooting, investigation and reverse engineering of complex and undocumented systems; and
Criteria:
- Experience developing Ansible playbooks and/or other software defined infrastructure products
- Experience with cloud aware architectures and software defined infrastructure, including containerisation and Kubernetes
- Experience deploying and/or supporting CI/CD toolsets such as Gitlab
- Experience deploying and/or supporting artefact repositories, such as Artifactory
- Sound Linux skills
- Some software development experience would be highly beneficial
