Overview
Working with our large Government client, the EDRMS Specialist will support the design and implementation of records management tools (business classification and privilege structures) of the folder structure within the Enterprise Document and Records Management system (EDRMS), Objective.
The requirement for these Services is due to the growth of documents stored being unregulated and unmanaged, resulting in the majority of the data being ‘un-structured’. The ability to use Objective’s search function to return accurate and timely search results is significantly degraded, and does not enable effective support to decision making. They intend to complete a remediation of this, through the EDRMS Governance and Remediation Project. The Services must deliver an EDRMS improvement plan that:
Location: This role can be based in Canberra, ACT or Brisbane, QLD.
Contract terms: 12 months initially
Security Requirements: Candidates require Australian citizenship along with an active NV1 (negative vetting 1). Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client requested checks.

- will be compliant with the requirements of the Archives Act, Records Management Policy and the Standing Instruction (Information Management),
- can be applied across all Commands and units,
- will improve all stages of the records management lifecycle , and
- satisfy the requirements of access and security.
- Implementing a consistent, sustainable and unified business classification structure (folder and file structure) across all units that meets requirements while enabling records lifecycle management.
- Improving the capability to share documents across Commands within the Objective application, without the need to duplicate or move records;
- Implementing consistent and sustainable user management structures to protect records where appropriate;
- Improving the end user search experience with more accurate (relevant and current) and efficient (timely) search results;
- Improving the knowledge and use of the Objective application through training in file and user management; and
- Simplifying the capture, use, and maintenance of records (past, current and future), reducing the impact of organisational change on the structures of folder, files and users.
