Our Government client is currently seeking an EL1 Procurement Specialist to join their team in Canberra, ACT.
Working to policy direction from the Director and in line with the Departments Procurement Guidelines and Approvals Process, the officer shall be responsible for the complex procurement to support integration of citizens migrating to Australia.

Canberra – 6 months with possible 6 month extension.
Security Requirements
NV1 Security Clearance is required.

Working to policy direction from the Director and in line with the Departments Procurement Guidelines and Approvals Process, the officer shall be responsible for the complex procurement to support integration of citizens migrating to Australia.
Responsibilities:
- evaluating the Program Design (contracted externally) for the ‘Mobility with Dignity’ integration program(s), and aligning it/them with the Departments stated outcomes, objectives and funding, working with the Assistant Director – including meetings with the designer
- drafting the Approach to Market (ATM) for the procurement of program(s) to deliver the Australian Government’s commitment to ‘mobility with dignity’.
- submitting and progressing relevant documentation through the Departments internal approvals process, including drafting of relevant Minutes (both before and following the ATM)
- submitting, monitoring and managing the ATM
- evaluating tender responses
- providing feedback/debriefs to unsuccessful applicants
- supporting contract negotiations with the successful supplier, including by drafting the contract and working with relevant areas (Procurement, Contracting and Legal) to ensure the contract aligns with policies and legal requirements
- consultations with Procurement and Grants Section (FPS) and others as required
- entering agreement into SAP Contracts; and
- other work as discussed and agreed with Director to support of the design and implementation of the Mobility Pathway program(s).
