We are seeking for an experienced Project Manager (Risk and Issues) who will be responsible for identifying areas of risks within the Program, providing recommendations for improvements in processes and control procedures and providing expertise in risk and issues management.
Major Responsibilities:
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract terms: 12 Months with 2X12 months extension.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5 & 6.
Security Requirements: A minimum Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is required.

Major Responsibilities:
- Design governance frameworks and engage with stakeholders to guide and assist implementation.
- Manage project and programme level risks and issues frameworks, including but not limited to monitoring, control and reporting mechanisms, timely escalations when required and ensuring frameworks remain fit for purpose.
- Lead and manage diverse stakeholder groups and project reviews to ensure effective risk and issues management.
- Share knowledge and expertise and encourage learning and growth in risk and issue management, and effective governance more broadly.
- Support project and product leads to adhere to the agreed portfolio management approach and timetable.
- Experience in managing major projects, programs or portfolios of projects is essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A demonstrated ability to manage multiple high priorities with competing interests and schedules.
- Knowledge of the current IIP Capability Development and Approval Process.
