Our large private client requires a Security Operations Lead to engineer, implement and manage security solutions across diverse platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust security practices and incidents response capabilities and lead security efforts, leveraging a strong technical background, with a detailed focus on governance, risk management, and compliance.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Contract Term: through to 30th June, 2025 (+potential extensions)
Location of work: Canberra, ACT
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of this role, our client requires an active NV2 or higher security clearance.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Deep understanding of security fundamentals, with detailed exposure to Asset Management, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust Architecture(ZTA), Security Operations & Engineering and Risk Management techniques.
- Proficiency in securitising Microsoft technologies (Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, Active Directory Certification Services, MS SQL).
- Skilled ability to interpret, and tune logging and monitoring tools (syslog, windows events and Splunk)
- Experience with system level hardening of VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX-T and Aria Suite .
- Proven experience with Security assessments and testing methodologies.
