Role Overview: As a Senior API Developer, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of API services, collaborating with business stakeholders to finalise functional specifications and interface documents. You’ll work closely with the business teams and technical leads to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business teams to define functional requirements.
- Work with Tech Leads and stakeholders to review and finalise documentation.
- Operate within an Agile team to document and communicate changes.
- Design and create robust interfaces for system integration.
- Participate in user interface discussions and application design.
- Support and collaborate with internal/external consultants.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Framework 5x, Spring Boot 2x, JUnit 5, Mockito, logging frameworks, and Postman.
- Experience in Infra/DevOps design.
- Knowledge of Maven, Git, Splunk, Bamboo, Swagger, design patterns, and standards.
- Proven experience in delivering API frameworks.
- Banking project experience is essential.
- Strong debugging and clean coding skills with TDD.
- Proactive in addressing software issues related to code quality and security.
- Ability to mentor junior consultants.
- Location: Sydney
- Contract: 6 months with potential extensions.
- Full Australian work rights required.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening, including ID, work rights, and security clearance verification.
