About the Role:
They are seeking a skilled Splunk Monitoring Engineer to join our Enterprise Monitoring team. This role involves working across both project and Business As Usual (BAU) functions within their team. The End-to-End Monitoring project aims to enhance our client’s enterprise monitoring capability, focusing on export systems and services. The successful candidate will help identify and resolve potential system issues early, reducing service disruptions for critical business functions.

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current Baseline Security Clearance.

The Successful Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining technical capabilities with Splunk ITSI, including:
- Log aggregation and integration with service management.
- Relevant project experience with Splunk ITSI, including:
- Experience working under pressure, with close attention to detail, organising priorities, and meeting deadlines. Ability to build and maintain relationships with service partners, key business areas, and technical teams
- Relevant BAU experience with Splunk ITSI, including:
- User configuration and continuous improvement of Splunk ITSI.
- Developing and maintaining Splunk ITSI dashboarding solutions.
- Managing adds, moves, and changes for existing Splunk ITSI services
- Technical integrations with other key monitoring tools.
- Custom reporting for export services.
- Technical development, user configuration, and continuous improvement of Splunk ITSI.
- Onboarding new services into Splunk ITSI, including service decomposition and associated testing.
- Assisting with ITSI documentation and knowledge-based articles.
- Developing and maintaining Splunk ITSI dashboarding solutions.
- Managing adds, moves, and changes for existing Splunk ITSI services.
- Collaborating with key service partners, technical teams, and business units.
- Representing and assisting with technical changes under the ITIL framework.
- 12 month contract with 2 x 12 month extension options.
