Seeking a Software Engineer with extensive experience in JavaScript (e.g. Vue.js), Java or Python
Role Description
The Departments ICT team is seeking to engage two Software Engineers who will collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, participate in
the entire development lifecycle, troubleshoot issues and stay updated on industry trends to improve team capabilities.
Key responsibilities including but not limited to:
• collaborate with the stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives and provide innovative solutions to meet their needs
• participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment
• troubleshoot and resolve issues related to various technologies and software integrations
• be aware of industry trends and advancements to contribute fresh ideas and enhance the team's capabilities
Required Skills and Experience
• expertise in designing, developing, testing and optimising production ready software
• Expertise in CI/CD and DevOps practices in managing code release lifecycles
• knowledge of current practices in API design and Version Control (Git)
• extensive experience in JavaScript (e.g. Vue.js), Java or Python are desirable
Initial contract duration: 12 months with 2 x 12 months extension options
Location of work & working arrangements - Canberra - Hybrid Based
Security Clearance - Must have a Baseline, NV1, NV2, TSPV Security Clearance, TSPV highly desirable.
