The Role:
The Department is seeking to engage six experienced system administrators who possess strong technical and communication abilities. This role entails a variety of responsibilities, such as system design and administration, project support, technical assistance and contributing to the improvement and maintenance of the Departments ICT environments as required.
Primary Duties:
• Manage and administer our virtualised environments, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security Undertake core and business as usual environmental tasks and activities,including messaging and collaboration capabilities • Design, develop, and implement highly available, secure and best practice solutions within our environment. Analyse existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements • Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized • Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions • Manage security and access controls of Windows and Linux solutions and systems • Develop infrastructure as code leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments • Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance, security, and capacity standards
Skills and Experience Required: • Minimum five years performing a similar role • Microsoft ecosphere, including desktop and server, SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, SCCM, Certificates, and Identity and access. • Linux Redhat Enterprise support, and VMWare ESXi technologies. • Infrastructure as Code experience including Ansible and Terraform, and PowerShell. • Microsoft 365 Services (Productivity/Collaboration and Security primarily) • Microsoft Azure.
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in ACT. 12 month contract.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens. A Baseline (or higher) security clearance is required for this role.
