About the role:
This position requires skilled developers with expertise in Ansible and Terraform to support Disaster Recovery implementation and testing. The successful candidates will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust infrastructure patterns and workflows that facilitate effective failover operations while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple domains, including ECSS (Infrastructure), SNS (Networks), ISG (Security), and others, to develop or enhance patterns that provide shared components essential for consistent failover activities.
- Analyse and document potential risks for each component involved in the Disaster Recovery (DR) implementation, identifying factors such as target SLAs that may impact a successful DR failover operation.
- Design and implement DR workflows within the proposed framework, enabling end-to-end failover and testing for each application in scope.
The successful candidate:
- Proficiency in Ansible
- Expertise in Terraform
- Strong testing capabilities
- Familiarity with observability tools and practices
- Understanding of infrastructure concepts, including basic compute and networking
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tooling as needed
