Location: This role is a Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne
Contract terms: 12 month contract. 2x 12 month extensions.
Security Requirements: Candidates must be an Australian Citizens with a NV1 clearance. ASD will not sponsor candidates to upgrade their clearance. Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client requested checks.

Major Responsibilities
- Develop the target design, policies and standards, for a broad range of business use cases, ensuring consistency of design across the enterprise, and facilitating endorsement by the appropriate Design Authority.
- Drive cloud architecture at a strategic level across all lines of business, specifically toward self-service cloud adoption/migration.
- Engage with areas to understand their needs, developing strategic and/or tactical solutions appropriate the enterprise vision and intended outcome.
- Architect solutions that deliver to Government security standards.
- Review internal and externally developed architecture and design artefacts to ensure consistency with enterprise designs, policies and standards.
- Advise Program Management and Design Authorities on technical risks and mitigations.
Technical Skills
- Understand & demonstrated application of current architectural frameworks, design patterns, standards & techniques
- Extensive experience as a solution architect in medium-large organisations, with demonstrated coverage of a range of architecture deliverables
- Extensive experience in architecting & deploying cloud-based architectures & roadmaps
- Experience in system design & complex design documentation
- Knowledge of Australian Government security standards
- Background & technical skills in Enterprise ICT
