Key responsibilities to be performed:
- SPOC/OSC for Cloudera platform
- Capacity planning & Management
- Infrastructure & Vulnerabilities management
- Audit & Compliance requirement
- Incident response
- Incident PIR
- Vendor management
- De-commission
- Control-m
- BAU release management
- Support Hive Meta Store
- Platform monitoring
- Platform maintenance
- Infrastructure management
- Password rotations
Mandatory Requirements:
- Cloudera Hadoop administration or Hortonworks. Preference for Cloudera over Hortonworks.
- Impala, Hive and Spark - non development, but would need to look at logs and identify issue. Impala primary, Hive secondary. Can cross skill between Impala and Hive
- AWS Devops - Primary is AWS - will accept candidate with Azure experience if part of squad mix combination
- Basic shell scripting - read, understand, debug basics
Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
- Some bitbucket exposure (github stash)
- Any CICD e.g. bamboo
- Not mandatory - experience with upgrades, however, should have experience coordinating with Cloudera support. How to raise ticket and liaise with vendor support.
